Rihanna has cancelled a fair few tour dates recently due to a mystery illness, but as the Bajan beauty continues to party from city to city - should she start to take more care of herself and concentrate solely on her career in a bid to get better?

EntertainmentWise music editor Alicia Adejobi spoke out about RiRi's recent cancellations, blaming her illness on her overworked body and hectic partying schedule.

She told presenter Georgie Barrat: "She likes to party and hasn't slowed down in a while. I think this has definitely taken it's toll, that teamed with a mammoth world tour. It's just too much"

She added, "She's just taken things a step too far, fans paying to go and see her she has to take it into consideration that it's her career."

With the S & M superstar releasing an album almost every year for the past seven years, it's no wonder that the hectic-ness of it all is finally taking it's toll on Rihanna.

The Bajan star's 'mystery illness' was also rumoured to be pregnancy recently, with reps being quick to deny the speculation, saying that she's "just sick."

Sources have also added to this, saying that she's definitely not expecting a little one with other half Chris Brown.

They told HollywoodLife: “[Rihanna] is just sick, and that’s really it,”

“I know, that’s not a good enough reason because everybody wants some drama and the rumors that she’s pregnant to make the rounds, but sorry, not this time. She’s not pregnant!”

The Diamonds star, who disappointed fans in Houston on Monday claimed in an Instagram quote she'd been ill since April 11.

"I was sick since San Diego!"

She wrote in the post. "I kept working because I thought two days off after the Vegas show would be enough time to recover and I f****ed up, those were two days off from hell and today is not different!”
